Help needed!!!! Jackson Chameleon unexpected birth of 10 babies!!!

This morning I came home from work and my Jacksons chameleon that I have had for four months gave birth! I have no experience in baby chameleons. Any help is appreciated for I don't even know where to begin. I am going to seperate them from the adult and give them fruit flies. Any suggestions?

Separate them immediately or the female may start to eat them. You will need to feed them small insects like fruit flies and pinhead crickets. For now, the most important thing is to separate them, and then start reading up on proper baby care.

You can set them up in a clear tub of sorts with some fake plants/vines. They should be able to eat 1/8" fruit flies (Hydei) and 1/8" crickets right from birth. Pinheads may be a bit small. It depends on your supplier though. If you can get them where they are actually 1/8" and not bigger then I'd go with those.

I seperated them immediately and I gave them hydei fruit flies. They are all climbing around on a plant that is in the enclosure. Is there an optimum temperature for these little guys. I live in Phoenix so I don't want to cook the. Right now I just have a UVB bulb on them. Should I provide more heat? Thanks!

You'd want the ambient temp to be around 68-72 or so. Maybe a little warmer since they are newborns. Basking 80-82 F. With newborns I sometimes turn the heat lamp off throughout the day.

Don't be surprised if they don't eat for a day or 2. Keep them hydrated with misting 2-3 times a day, gentle misting.

I've found most of my Jackson babies don't care for Fruit Flies. Just my own experience though. They go for Crickets/Phoenix worms much more readily for me. Good luck with them!

My jackson baby would only eat fruit flies - except when the pin heads were just out of the carton or when I got to the end- I killed thousands of them. But I have had one baby not a bunch- if they do like fruit flies get some cultures going as quick as you can- I've read that you should use an older UVB light - and I was told when I got mine that most die from over supplementation- I don't know how true it is - I most likely under supplemented -
