Please if anyone knows of an experienced vet in St Petersburg Florida. My cham is having some serious health issues i believe his kidneys may be stressed and or failing, the vet ive been using isnt much good and my cham is going down hill. He is still strong but i fear he wont be for long. I Need a great vet to save my cham......PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!:):(:(

Hey-here in Clearwater there is a Vet-Tracy Anderson at Countryside Animal Hospital-727-785-1211. She sees my animals.

It is however Saturday night, and I am not sure they do after hours like most Vets-but you could give it a try.

What is going on with your cham?

thanx Julirs i will give her a call, Im not sure exactly what is going on with him (10mth male ambanja). (look at my thread titled "too much d3") it tells whats been going on but to sum up, He got a skin infection, that seemed to be getting better then after that pretty much cleared up he started having troubles extending his tong now he has a gular edema, I think his kidneys are starting to go. the vet ive been using just doesnt know much about chams and im scared to take him back because i feel its probably a wast of money and this vet is just reading through a book to get answers and has hardly any cham exp from what i can tell, I need an expert, i dont want him to die!:(, i love my cham!:) but i dont have the money to be taking him everywhere for different opinions from people who might not know what they are talking about. Thank God there is a good vet in the area, I am now hopeful but still very upset about my cham

Are there really any expert chameleon vets? Hope your chameleon's gets well.

Yes there is. His name is Dr. Ivan Alfonso. He is located in Orlando, FL. It just doesn't get any better or more caring than Dr. Alfonso. people drive hours to see him, you might consider it.
