My female panther(pixie) laid her first clutch of 25 eggs and she is very weak,not eating,not really moving,and just looks gray....im going to take her to the vet on sat but i feel like i need to do something for her now.
Help!!!my cham laid 25 eggs and she is not doing well at all

Saturday will be too late. She needs to go tomorrow. Make sure she stays warm and well hydrated. Drip warm water on the top of her nose steadily for a few minutes and see if she will lick it up. Do not force her to drink as she may choke on it. Unfortunately it's not good for her to be in this condition after laying and there may not be much you can do.

first off when did she lay the eggs and when she was gravid did you make sure you duted her food with calcium everyday??? how long has she been like this??? they will be like this for about 10-20 hours due to the stress it gives them after their clutch i'd also keep her food dusted for about a week cause they draw alot of nutrients from their body when they are growing the eggs in them so if she laid today check on her tomorrow. this is what ive been told and i delt with ask or call any of the sponser breeder they will give you the best info cause thats what i did,

its been three days since she laid her clutch...
not eating anything at all,this is my first time with a female panther and i stressed out.i did everything right before and after she laid her eggs .I AM ON MY WAY TO THE VET NOW

good answer..the vet will most likly give her some liquid calcium and try to hydraite her..basically she used all her calcium to make eggs and it also dehydraited her to lay them..it is also her first clutch..they tend to get a lil stronger, or somehow know what to expect for next time..good luck..hope she pulls through !!!

pixie is doing much better this morning
I took her to the vet they gave her some oral calcium and fluids......he said this was all normal.its crazy how she got her color back and has done a whole 360.she is drinking on her own and holding on to the ficus,im going to try to offer her some food today.i work for a vet as a tech but we dont always have a exotics vet on staff that is why i wanted to wait for sat,im glad i didnt.........thank guys

glad she is doing great told ya it takes about a day for her to return to her normal state but that extra calcium liquid is a good choice think i'll get some and use it next time my chams get ready to lay eggs again. a little bit advice for next time unless you already know along with calcium up her water intake a little more to to help with her hydration and helps with her insides being lubed to and helps from keeping from egg bound. keep us informed on how she is doing and good luck with the eggs.
