Help! mushrooms and fungus!!

Having the darnest time keeping real plants. I have nothing close to a green thumb. Had one of the umbrela plants in with Cory but little mushrooms started growing and some fuzzy fungus aswell. Have to clean it everyday and finally it has become too much so I went back to fake plants. What am I doing wrong? Anyone have some advice?

Put some large river rocks over the top to prevent it. Or re pot in different soil.

Did you re-plant them with with better drainage? If not you may want to try a layer or two of rocks on the bottom and again towards the middle of the pot.
