help me prepare for winter

Hey guys, I need some help and advice on how to heat up Orion's cage, should I use a heat mat, bulbs, heating wire or what else we have available.

The ambient temperature of my flat at winter is around 24 celsius but i turn off the heating over night.

This is Orion's cage, it is 100/50/50 cm large.

Hi! Chams like a temp drop at nigh but if it's really too cold at night you would want to use a ceramic heat emitter. Any lights would disturb his sleep and heat mats song really give heat off the same way

When we first got our chameleon it was last February it was really cold in the room so we had to use a small room heater to warm up the room

A good space heater does wonders for my reptile room. But after a year or year and a half it became a bit unreliable so I'm interested in hearing anyone's experiences with heat rope (specifically the stuff diycages.com is offering).

If they crawl on hear rope and they will, it can burn their feet. I use a heat emitter. They come in different watts go get what keeps him the temp you need. At night it is ok for him to drop to 20C. day time as listed below. A heat emitter will cost a lot less than using a space heater. But if a space heater is what it needed please be careful. I live where it get down to -28C

Since you have a veiled I would keep his cage warmer than 24C (75 f) Under a heat light it could go to 28.3 C to 31.6C. I would also try to get a larger cage if possible.
