I have a female veiled chameleon. I think she is around 2 1/2 months....she's sleeping during the day..hasn't been eating her crickets even when they are right in front of her..she mainly opens one of her eyes.. puffs up when she breaths and picks up her head as if she tries to gasp for air..I also noticed some substance under her chin running down her throat...looks like vomit or not to sure if it's dry blood....I don't know what's wrong with her. I'm new in caring for a chameleon..I've tried todo a lot of research but I'm a little lost. can someone helpand tell me what to do and try to help her feel better.

If is dry blood, you will need to get her to the vet asap.
What are u been feeding her, just cricket only???
What is in ur cage??some pics will be give us more clue.

If you fill out the form from the "how to ask for help" section of these forums we'll be able to help you better. By the sounds of it she's may have a respitory infection, but until we get info, or you take her to the vet it's hard to say for sure. In my opinion a trip to the vet asap would be your best bet.

Check for upper respiratory infection: keeps head tilted up, exaggerated breathing, mucous bubbles in throat and/or mouth, general lethargy, hear a popping or raspy noise as she breaths. y. She needs to see a vet to get the required antibiotics.
How long have you had her? Where did you get her? If this occurred while under your care, you need to improve your husbandry, at the top of this page under the resources tab you'll find a wealth of information. If you got her from a box store not too long ago it probably started there, generally their husbandry stinks. An URI takes weeks to progress to a level a new keeper would notice anything wrong.
