he is 1 year and 3 months and he has a shed but 1 week ago it fell into an empty bucket and was found about half an hour later in the sun.. i concluded that this happened du of becoming over heated......please what should i do??

Has his tail always been this way? Has it got burnt at all or is it just skin that hasn't shed yet? Did his tail shed with the rest of his body

I see what your mean. It does look like it could be a retained shed but if he fell and injured himself it could be more serious. I'm pretty sure that chameleons bruise green so I don't think it's a bruise.

You can try and mist it well and often with warm water and see if that helps any.
Have you felt the skin there? Does it feel more rough or dry than the rest of his body?

If it doesn't change soon you may want to take him to the vet and get it checked.

You could also fill in the https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ form and see if anyone has any suggestions.

okok 10q ..the problem is that there isnt any reptile vets in my counrty that is why i am trying to find a solution from this website :/!

How does it look under the peeling skin? If it is a burn it may scar and always look different. You will need to keep a keen eye on it and watch out for any infections.

There's no reptile vet in the whole country???? Where are you located? Any vet that can take an interest is better than none IMO.

in malta u know where it is ?

Yeah I know where it is :) my vet is not chameleon experienced but he saw us and us referring our case to a vet on the mainland who will be able to tell him more details about how to help us. Maybe a vet near you could do something similar?

Adult chameleons very commonly don't shed there whole bodies at once as they did as babies. So don't stress it and keep him misted well.

A pic of his tail after u got some skin off may be of help.

If it needs amputated you will have to take him to the vet but that's only if it gets really bad.
