Help Me Decide!

Okay.. so I'm having some problems deciding on my new Ambilobe Chameleon. First I couldn't decide which company to go with (Kammers), now I can't decide which baby I want! So many problems.. I know. I for sure want a blue-bar.

It's come down to about 2 choices. One baby (Sire: Line-Drive & I think Son Tiger's daughter) is about a 90% chance BB. The other choice is a Fire Hawk baby. I really want a BB with green, yellow, red, blue, etc. Fire Hawk seems to have more yellow/green in his pics, but I'm leaning more towards Line Drive. I'm not sure what I should do.

Should I go with my gut? I'm a perfectionist in every part of my life. So I always like to be 100% sure on my choices. So it's difficult if I'm split on a decision, or don't see what it is I'm looking for. Even the tiniest 1% can make things almost impossible for me. I am completely split between these two babies. By the way.. if anyone has offspring of any of these Chams, please post your pics! You can completely take over this thread. Haha. It will definitely help my decision. So I beg you, blow this thread up! Advice.. or pictures. Any way you can help will make a world of difference to me.

personally, i like LINE DRIVE better.

That's what I said too. They don't have any little ones from him right now. He is for sure my favorite. I just don't know what to do! Do I go with Line Drive, or do I wait (I can't) for another clutch?

I've been meaning to ask you, how in the world is Noki such a blue bar? Iron Man is basically pure red. He looks nothing like his daddy.

OMG! i'm sorry. i meant Line Drive not blue lightning. he looks great. i have no idea how he's such a different color than his sire. he might have taken on a lot of the dame's genes.

If it makes you feel better, most BB Ambilobes are blue and green at rest, with maybe some red or yellow around the face. And then they may fire up totally yellow/red and blue, but as a whole you get all the colors you want just not necessarily all at the same time.

In the end it's genetics - out of the 4 panther males I've ever purchased, only one looked a lot like his father. The others varied quite a bit.

I think if you're so nervous about it (which I TOTALLY understand, I'm neurotic in the exact same way with my panthers) look around the classifieds here (or in Faunaclassifieds.com or Kingsnake.com) and see if anyone is selling slightly older chameleons. Sometimes they may only be a month older (~4) but you can already see their faint colors coming in, and then you get a better idea of which individuals look like they're going to be BB or not. This is what I've ended up doing with panthers I really wanted to look like their fathers, in the end I just had to opt for paying a little more to get an older baby who may look much more like what I want.

Thanks Olimpia. It does make me feel better. I think I'm going to wait for the one that I just know is right. I love that I'm not the only neurotic person out there. Haha. I saw the perfect hold back last week on Kammer's site. Someone snatched him up in a second though. I was really disappointed. I just hate the waiting game. I know I need to spend my money now before something ridiculous pops up. You know.. adult nonsense. Lol. I really don't know if I can take it much longer. But I'll give it a little bit and see if it works to my advantage. The bad part is someone could snatch the options I do have up. But I'll give it a try. It's easier to be broke when you don't have the money, but it's harder to not buy that coffee, or get the gas you need when you do have the money. I'd much rather spend $400 on a Cham I'm sure about, than one I might regret later. Because this one, and one more I've already got lined up are it. I don't have the room for more. Sorry other Cham's out there, but this reptile mommy has her hands full.
