So I'm a new owner of my first chameleon. she is a senegal between 1-3, or so I'm told. I think i might have miss understood some information i read and caused a problem for my cham. I had my set up way in advance and was doing research and read that the basking spot should not be over 85 degrees. So when i got my set up a 100 watt powersun in a deep dome and saw that it was in the mid 90's i asked and looked up what to do. I settled on a combo of an elevation with an extra screen under the bulb.. Now after a 4 days I've noticed she has slowed down a lot and doesn't seem as alert. Also she is starting to fall asleep in the evenings with the light on around 6 pm. So after some research I've realized the extra screen is probably cutting out a lot of the uv. (well over half) So i cut off the screen and took it off the elevation and put it back on top of the enclose. So I guess my question is, is this the right move? what else can i do? is it to late? and is the 100 watt in the deep dome enough elevation to not cook her... please help, thanks

Please answer the questions in the how to ask for help thread at the top of the health forum and post some photos if her. We can't help you without enough information.
