So i recently purchase two pygmy chameleons from a LPS i am pretty sure the first one is Rieppeleon brevicaudatus but i am not sure if the second one is a Rieppeleon brevicaudatus. So can anyone tell me if its a diffferent species and if it is what species is?

thanks for your help :)

You are right, you do have two different pygmy species there. The first is a Rieppeleon brevicaudatus and the second one is most likely a Rhampholeon rhampholeon temperalis. There is a slim chance she is possibly a Rhampholeon rhinodigitum uluguruensis because of the larger pointy crest above her eyes but that species usually doesn't have the spots on those lateral flank stripes. Can you post a better pic of her head?

Beyond the fact that the two species shouldn't be housed together, the brevicaudatus can tolerate a wider range of temperatures than the temperalis. The temperalis like it cool and, in fact, warmer temperatures can be lethal to them. I'd set-up two different vivariums for your new pets.

Have fun with them, the pygmies are chock full of personality.
Cheers,
