Cool, which did you get (or have you not gone yet - the most often recommend uv bulb is the reptisun 5.0 tube. I have ones called reptiglo 5.0, which are apparently nearly as good)
I was just being overly cautious, yes, to make sure the point got across. Careful introductions can be made when the Chameleon feels comfortable and well. I would always supervise when leaving any dog or cat with access to a Chameleon though - I never had a pet dog myself, but I wouldn't trust one with my Lizards![]()
I use reptiglo as well. My local pet store had a huge sale a few months ago - buy 1 reptiglo, get 1 free. I bought them all. I figured it's not the top-of-the-line reptisun...but for only $50, I bought $100 worth of bulbs.
and regarding pets, I made slow introductions with my cat, and my cat only. My roommates cats are not allowed in my room. But, honestly, I don't think my cat has any freakin' idea that there's another animal in the room. She is more interested in the box of crickets. Whenever I open it to take some out, she runs over and peers in, and if any escape, she's on it. Whenever I handle Kukui, she just kind of looks at me with this "whatever" look.
