her gums started to swell and now they look black and I do not know what to do. she doesn't want to eat or drink. does anyone know what this could be ?

Yea go to a vet that specializes in exotic animals right now. Looks very serious. After that fill out this form so we can figure out if your husbandry is ok.

Looks like tumors! Could also be grossly inflamed gums. Yup, needs a vet please!

I took her to my exotic animal vet and he gave her a shot but he said there is not a lot he can do :'( he said to take her to a specialized vet but I am not sure where to find someone who is specialized in just chameleons or how much would it be.

she needs an exotic vet, it could be a number of things but im also seconding the tumor idea make sure u ask if the vet has chameleon experience, this is very important when treating them because others who dont knows what theyre doing could possibly diagnose wrong.
