Just wondering if the little guy made it.
HELP! Frozen Brown Anole male! Super skinny!

Hey, I’m honestly extremely sad right now. A few days ago, I went to check up on the little guy. He didn’t move a few days before and just stayed underneath his hide. I went to check up on him on Thursday and he was dead
. I went to my backyard and just held him with some gloves on. I teared up a bit. I just told the guy how sorry I was that he couldn’t have had a longer life.I also looked into his eye and it made me actually cry because his eyes looked watery when he died. I just held him and made him warm
I then dug a hole with my hands and gently placed him in there. There were a few ants and earthworms so I just took them away lol. I said goodbye to him and put a mealworm beside his grave. I buried him up and made a stick so I can remember him.
It really made me upset.

You tried and gave him a chance, but it’s difficult with wild animals and ones so small and fragile. He was probably already going into organ failure when you found him. You gave him care and warmth and a peaceful passing.

I’m so sorry. 
at least he had the security of you with him and was not left to die alone. As hard as it is to accept for you, keep your head up knowing you did all you could to help and you were there for him as support during passing. Most would have let him die alone a week ago. Sending a huge hug
