Help flap neck cham laying eggs.

Hi. My flap neck female wants to lay eggs, but for a few weeks now she doesn't feed or drink any water she was bit by the crickets that she is supposed to eat and have a hole on her back due to the bites also her legs are very swolen, is this behaviour normal when they are pregnant exept for the bite marks she is also sleeping since yesterday and not realy waking up to move or so anything, any advice or feedback will be apreciated.

Hi can you pleas fill out the how to ask for help form so we can get a better idea of your husbandry. From the sounds of it she may be becoming egg bound and needs to see a good exotics vet or she might not make it.

Here she is. As u can see just laying there sleeping. If we touch her she wants to bite me.

Do you not see what is wrong?

She had multiple fractures to her legs. She needs to go to the vet and be euthanized. I can't imagine an animal that calcium deficient (as evidenced by multiple broken legs) being able to actually lay the eggs.

Your chameleon is suffering.

We tried to give her crickets with calsium powder and put her in the sun for a while. Everyday the same thing. I saw something is wrong with her legs and asked a couple of people who bred with them and no one could give me answers.

I'm sorry but @jajeanpierre is right. The only thing you can do for her now is take her to a vet and have her put to rest.

@Tanja All the full sun and calcium powder in the world will not get her in a condition to pass those eggs. Do the right thing and take her to a vet.

Lack of calcium in the diet and improper lighting is not the only reason chameleons get MBD. It can be related to kidney failure.

MBD can also be the result of constantly overfeeding a chameleon somshe produces a huge clutch....and that one is producing a huge clutch.
From your description she's not likely going to make it for much longer sadly. Did she come to you already pregnant or was she mated or will the eggs be infertile?
