Help! Chameleon got shed in eye

So my little guy is around 3 months old and I've had him for about a month. He is healthy, eats and drinks good. He just went thru his first shed with me and one of his eyes won't or opens sometimes during the day. This happened right after his shed. Could he have possibly scratched his eye on a branch or maybe got some of his skin in his eye? Not really sure what to do. I must his cage a few times a day with wArm water. I even tried rubbing his eye very gently with a wet q tip. Is this something that will pass? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It seems like this will pass, the shed must of given his eye a hard time! I would give it a few days before fretting to much. If the eye starts to stay consistently closed and starts forming mucus around it I would take him to the vet. Increase misting and humidity.
