help cham not ate for about 8 days!!

yeah all done and i have coverd her cage totally (didnt do this last time) will peek in b4 bed (left a tiny gap) an in the morning-fingers crossed!! :0)

She's either very fat or carrying eggs. I would try digging a hole for her to see if she will use it. If she is laying on the floor or staying low in the cage then its not good.

If she hasn't laid eggs by tomorrow, I would get her to the vet's asap. They can take an xray as was already suggested to determine if she has eggs or follicles.

well i live in a stupid little town and the vet were shut all day yesterday and today only open 3-3:30pm!!(another 5 hrs to wait!!) I have to wait till then to go see what they can do for her. Weird thing is though she is now climbing again but still not eating/drinking.

give her privacy as much as possible.
and as soon as the vet open (perhaps, make an appointment), bring her in.
Hope she'll pull through.

Still no joy at all!! Phoned all the vets in my area and they all dont deal with chameleons, told me to go to a vet about 2 hours away and as i dont drive this is impossible for me!!(dont have anyone to take me either) Gave her "worm soup" today to try give her some energy and put her in the shower and sun and she seemed to pick up a lot so i dug a tunnel for her and put her away and left her all day when i came back she was in the tunnel so i left her and a few hours later looked again and she had come out of it, but still hadnt layed her eggs.
Thanks for all the advice but as i cant get to the vet i think i have let her down and she will probably pass away. I should have done my homework before getting her :( :(

Have you tried giving her the choice of a couple of different laying tubs/mediums? Lily had a tub of compost /sand mix and a separate tub of sand. She ignored the sand and chose the compost tub. Just a thought.

thanks for the idea only problem is its easter tomorrow so wont be able to get any other type of sand/mix and monday is a bank holiday!! feel so useless over this situation. she is the most plesant little thing aswell- i have my fingers and toes crossed that i come down in the morning and she has layed the eggs!

Something I noticed from your info and no-one else has picked up on yet.. Do you have a light /and/or heat bulb on at night? Chameleons don't need any heating or light at night. They need a temp drop and darkness to be able to sleep properly. B&Q is probably open on Monday. I'm in the UK too, by the way.

no i turn the lights off at night. Just peeked in she seems to be going back inside the tunnel:) my friend has just offerd to take me the vet thank god!! Again though prob have to wait till tuesday-damn the bank holiday!! Good idea on B&Q will be poping there mon if no joy!!

Hope everything turns out ok for you. Mine has been digging all day but not laid either. She has times when she won't eat anything for 10 days. Hopefully we'll both have chameleon Easter eggs on Easter Sunday!

Thank you :D and yes easter "chameleon" eggs would be the best easter gift ever!!!!! good luck with you cham too:)

just to let you know lizzy had to be put down today as (due to redundancy) i could not afford the £500 plus bill for operation. Sooo sad and kids are devestated, thank you all for the advice anyway. :( :(

Oh, that is such sad news.:( I really feel for you. These beautiful creatures really do become part of the family. Thinking of you.

Thank you, yes it is so sad! She really did become part of the family such a lovely placid girl. RIP Lizzy x x

i just been made redundant from my job so im now on stupid benefits which just about pays my rent! There was no way on earth i could have paid the £500 for her op.

Lizzy was a birthday present for my son (he is known as nature boy in school haha:) ) so he cried his eyes out earlier but he is ok now and says lizzy is with his nan in heaven
