Hi! I am new to chameleon keeping and find myself with a quandary...

I have crickets, dubia roaches, mealworms and fruit flies. They are each in their own critter keepers or bins. The problem is, I also have 3 cats and a three year old son!

I am needing fast advice on what kind of enclosure to keep all of these insects in (it needs to lock) and how best to keep them alive within it. Please help! Thank you!

They make plastic tubs that have locking/sealing lids that should work well. You will need to cut out some sections either in the lid or sides and glue in some metal screening (non-metal will be quickly cut up by curious cats.)

You can find them at most of the big box store. Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Walmart, they all should have them. :) Just make sure they have the plastic locks that snap down over the lid, that way it should be more cat proof than the bins without them.

I prefer using heat pads/mats or heat tape under the tub for roaches. The lights dry out the cage more, and they prefer darkness to breed the best.
