Help! Baby panther cham

Hi, I got this baby a few days ago and i notice he has something in his upper lip, it almost looks like his upper part of his mouth is wider than his jaw or maybe his gums swollen, i am not sure because he doesn't open his mouth often. Can someone tell me what this might be please. should i be worried?

I see a little thickening of the gum but I'm not sure what would be causing it. It could be the start of mouth rot...but I'm not a vet and can't be sure.

Oh no, i was scared someone might say that . Would you know if i can do anything at home to sooth his gums? Maybe treat it before it gets worse?! He did come in a bit thin but he is eating good and moving around fine.
