HELP: Baby ambilobe clutch

Hey guys,

I have a friend that is about to move out and his ambilobe layed some eggs a couple monts back, they hatched, but since she's moving out of the country she asked me to keep them.

They hatched about 7 weeks ago and they're the tiniest cutest little things I've seen in my whole entire life, but I have no place to keep them, and I don't want to be a big butthole and put them in a glass reptarium/tank/whateveryouwannacallit.

I have lamps and all that from owning a bunch of reptiles in the past, and the only screen cage I have is currently occupied by my deremensis. Housing them together is not an option.

What would be a quick, easy thing to put them in for like 2-3 days? She's moving out tonight and literally told me about it a couple hours ago, so it's kind of hard to pull a screen cage out of my butt, and she sold the sire and the mom with their setups so, yeah.

I was thinking something like this could work, but I don't know? What do you guys suggest I do

Those wire cubes have several inches between the bars so those wouldn't hold in hatchlings at all. One thing I have used is the mesh collapsable laundry hampers or butterfly cages so those would work really well if you can find them! The key is that they need to have a lid. You could also use one of the really big Tupperware boxes and put lots of foliage at the bottom but not near the top where they would be able to get out. You can be creative! Just make sure they'll be safe and you can put UVB over them.

Do you think it would be a bad idea to do somewhat what you described with the tupperware but in a glass terrarium? Maybe lay it on it's side to make it long? It would be just for 2 or 3 days until I can get a screen cage or figure something out

did you mean high? I've never had babies, but I think some people recommend keeping them in glass, so they have high humidity. But you would have to double check it.

Go get a couple sterilite tubs at Target. They are about $6 each and you can keep all of those babies in that for the first month or so. As they grow move some out to another tub so they are not so crowded. I keep all of my baby panthers in those for the first 2 months then move them to small individual screen cages. See the bins in the video. That is how I set them up. I use natural braches tied together with zipties. For babies I bake the branches in the oven for 10- 15 minutes at 400F to make sure there are no mites or spiders. Not completely necessary but I like to be cautious when it comes to neonates. I use plastic or silk fake plants and mist the bin several times a day so they can drink. I also do not use a basking bulb, but have a dual bulb flourescent with an old 5.0 reptisun and a 6500K bulb to provide a little bit if heat. The top of the bin should not get warmer than 82F. I also leave the tops of the bin open so make sure they cannot reach the top rim or they will be gone. They are little escape artists.
You should be able to outfit a couple of good baby bins for under $20 not including the light fixture and bulb. Hope this helps!

Yes, high! lol I live literally a couple streets from the beach so low humidity wouldn't be much of an issue I would assume.
