HELP ASAP PLEASE

She needs to see a vet today. She will need the adjustments we discussed in PM for when she returns from the vet.

I live in Lee’s summit Missouri. She is not doing good at all. Her limbs are weak and she is very weak and won’t eat. I laid the bin and I’m hoping she goes to it. I’m searching for the best vet. I would really appreciate the help
She will never lay these eggs on her own, she’s well past that point. Everything you’ve described are all classic symptoms of a dying egg bound Cham.

As mentioned previously, tomorrow will likely be too late.

Here are some links to reptile veterinarians incase jannb is not available.

You need to get her to a vet FAST before she becomes too weak to be helped!!!!!! She's going to die if you just leave her and she might be in pain. Is that what you want for her?

With d3, I use a 75w intense baking spot light and a ceramic one at night.

obviously if that’s what I wanted for her I wouldn’t have posted this. Please do not comment on my post if you’re going to be rude toward me. I am trying my hardest. Thanks.

You say you don't want that for her but "everyone" answering you has told you she needs a vet now...have you got an appointment for her yet?

She doesn't have days to wait...she may only have a few hours.
I won't bother you anymore...there's nothing else to say.

Good luck with her.

Yes, that’s why I said multiple times in the thread that I was calling. and I did. Saying that I want my chameleon to die isn’t helpful. It’s rude. Thanks though! Have a good one.

@Emilyautumn24 I don’t believe anyone is being intentionally rude. Please don’t take my comment as being rude or snippy as I don’t mean it to be. In my short time on the forums I’ve seen many people asking for help and are told their cham needs immediate veterinary care and for some reason don’t listen, leading to very poor outcomes of unnecessary suffering and death of chams. Bottom line - your girl needs a vet yesterday.

Yes, I know. That is why I said I have called. It’s also a holiday weekend so it’s a little more difficult to get ahold of a vet, that’s why I asked for help, with emergency vets. Which I have called. I’m trying my hardest to help her, I rescued her out of a home where people smoked in the same room as her, and did just awful things. I’m really trying to give her a good life.

Did you get ahold of the emergency vets? They are usually open 24/7

You said "I’m definitely calling the vet first thing in the morning" and you said "I’m searching for the best vet" in another post...but never said you have an appointment yet. Do you"?

I asked "is that what you want" to try to impress on you the urgency of getting her to a vet... It was not rude nor intended to be rude.

I hope for the chameleons sake that you do have an appointment.
Once again...Good luck!

I have called 2 emergency vets near me and they said they only take cats and dogs. Does anyone else know of any exotic emergency vets???

Hmm that’s weird. I’m not sure how it works there but around here the emergency vets have a lot of different vets that work there. Like 30 plus specialists. It’s like a hospital for animals. If I were you I would just take her to the emergency vet. They cannot refuse to help you. If there is no one with chameleon knowledge there they HAVE to call someone in.

I have been non stop googling for emergency exotic vets near me since last night when I posted this. I have called 3-4. None are open because it’s the weekend. I called the emergency who is open 24/7 in which they said they only take cats and dogs. I have went to every website they have posted, called every number they have posted. No one is available to take her in. I already feel really bad that I couldn’t get her in. I’m really trying my hardest And i really appreciate the help but you’re kinda just making me feel bad but I’m really trying. I wouldn’t be posting and trying to get help if I didn’t care.

Do you have any other number or websites to get ahold of a vet? The ones out here are just saying they can’t help because they only work on dogs and cats. I’m scared and I really just want to get her in ASAP

Blue pearl is the one who said they only take cats and dogs, I will try the other. Thank you
Although they are not reptile vets, I would think that with all of our technology they could video consult with a reptile vet and give your girl the emergency care she needs. It’s done all the time in human medicine.

I thought that too, I asked if I could bring her in ASAP and they shit me down right when I said chameleon. :(
