how many crickets or any other insect do i feed them?( baby and adult)

how do you keep cage humid?

what is the proper uva and uvb light i should get?(i check on the lll reptile website and i saw that they have the uva light that is a long bulb instead of a regular bulb.)


what is an easy way to clean the cham poop?
 
What kind of chameleon?

There are loads of ways to keep the humidity up, what you have to do depends on where you are and what your situation is. I will say that live plants are probably the best way to keep humidity up. If you can have them in terracotta pots, it's even better.

People here recommend the Reptisun 5 tube for UVB and a regular incandescent bulb for heat.

How you clean up the poop will depend on what cage you get.

i am planing to get a young veiled chameleon with a 24x24x48 cage.

The tube bulbs dont really put out enough heat for an adult male veiled, but supposing your room is slightly warm, the UVB might put out enough heat for a baby (around 80 degrees in the basking spot.)

How young is young?
 
Well you have to make sure of those temps, so get a digital thermometer! If it's around 80 during the day. A baby would be fine without a basking bulb for a while. If it's male it will probably start needing one around 5-6 months old.
 
At whatever age you want as long as you are always (and I mean always!) watching them, the temp is okay, they have shade, and they get water frequently.
 
i live in the city of Los Angeles. so the temp is somewhat hot and some what warm, its gets cold in the evening. is it ok if i can keep it in a bird cage?
 
Where are you located? If the weather is ok you can take him out as soon as you get him. He needs a place to get out of the sun if he wants to and lots of misting to keep him hydrated. Don't let him out of your sight even for a minute. They can disappear faster than you can believe. And before I forget welcome to the forum.:)
 
Im sure you can have a veild out all year here in l.a.Just make sure the cham has enough shade and he is kept hydrated.Maybe a few days here and there you will have to take him in due to very low and high temps, but thats about it.Weather in los angeles is neutral most of the time.Ive kept a rudis cham out for a whole year straight, just when it got too cold at night i placed a night heat lamp for it.The cham was in good health, never gave me problems and even had babies.

Edit: oh yeah, and make sure he is in a cage!!!!
