HELP. 1 yr veiled male, bumps above hind legs. I need the best for him. Anything will help

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, a year old. I have had him 6 months
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? I get him out three times a week
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? I am feeding 12 crickets every two days, I just ordered silk worms. And he's had mil worms but no interest in Fruits, or greens
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? I dust with zoo med repti calcium
  • Watering - I mist 2-3 times a day and give him water when he will take it from a drip
  • Fecal Description - His poop is brown and white
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - It is a glass screen combo

  • Lighting - 75 watt basking light that has uvb and heat combo
  • Temperature - 75-85
  • Humidity - I usually just stick my hand in to see if any is building
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? No live plants
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
  • Location - Where are you geographically located? Texas

Current Problem - bumps above hips. I believe it's a calcium deposit but I want to be sure.

It looks like, he could use a butter and wax worms to fatten him up. He looks really dark and sick looking. He needs a bigger cage.
 
You need to buy a separate UVB from basking bulb. I highly doubt it's two in one. It's way to dark In there. Literally you can go to Walmart, get an 18" under the counter light, buy a reptisun 18" bulb off amazon for 20$. Heck, Petco is having amazing deals right now. You can buy a large 48" screen cage right now for legit 44$ free shipping. He needs more room, more LIVE foliage, and way more branches.
 
I can't help you with the bumps, but I do see a few red flags in your enclosure. You shouldn't have substrate in his cage, there's a risk of impaction, and it doesn't really provide any positives. Secondly, I don't see any real plants. Of course a chameleon can be kept in an enclosure with only fake plants, but it's not ideal as they are arboreal animals and they do enjoy climbing on branches. In my personal opinion real plants provide a good base to the decor of your cage as well as a good help to retaining humidity. Finally, to maximize the space of your cage, as well as provide more climbing space, you should add more horizontal branches.
 
Hmmmm... not completely sure, hopefully someone else could correct me if I'm wrong, but these are probobly just calcium deposits like you said. Your chameleon didn't look very happy because of his brown color, and this may be because he doesn't have a proper basking spot. Chameleons should be a bright green color, which means they're happy. There could be other things that make him unhappy, but this may be one of them. To do this just take one of the bendable vines that I can see laying on the floor of your cage and arrange them in a way that gives a more proper basking spot for your chameleon that's closer to his lamp. Just make sure that it's not too hot. To test to see if it's too hot or not, place your hand where his basking spot is, and if it feels too hot to leave your hand there for awhile, the lower the basking spot. Hopefully I helped a little, even though I may not know what is causing these bumps

He's not always that color he gets extremely bright green and yellow,but I agree he needs to gain weight and have a bigger cage, that's something I am working on at the moment!
 
You could also use a dripper. Just refill twice a day, let it drip onto leaves. You can get pothos super cheap from lowes or Home Depot. Just clean off the leaves really well with soap and water, some medium sized rocks to cover up the dirt. Probably repot them in some organic dirt with no fertilizer.

use, shefflera(lowes has them 8-10$ If you get them med size and grow them) pothos you can get a larger plant for 12$ at lowes or Homedepot, but a couple of plastic pots and separate the roots off carefully so you can spread them out through the cage. I use dragon strand ledges to hold everything off of. If you want them you can get them for about 50$ with shipping. I would highly recommend them.
 
I also use bromeliads, they are tropical flowers. All three do really well in the cages constantly getting wet and lower lighting.
 
My chameleon came to
Me with EXACTLY the same bump. The chameleon was too young to have a calcium deposit that wasn't attributable to a previous injury. At any rate, the chameleon have countinued to grow, thrive, and seems unabated by the mysterious bump.

Take the advice you are getting, Take the advice you are receiving about your set-up.
Ficus, pothos, and schefflera are common, hardy plants, safe for a veiled enclosure.
 
I would however strongly strongly suggest you spend a few extra dollars, drive to Petco, pick up a little dripper, and a Reptisun 5.0 tropical UVB bulb(you can get the ones that just screw in as well) if you buy the T8 light bulbs they are closer to 40$ in store. But you really need something right now before his condition he's worse. You can get clamp lamps from Home Depot for under 10$. And like I said for the t8 light fixtures Walmart has under the cabinet lights that you can pop the plastic off of and switch the lights out to a UVB. It won't say it's for T8 fixture but it fits it perfectly. I will show you a pic. ALSO if you don't already have one high pressure hand mister can be purchased at Home Depot for 7$
