Hello all! My name is Ryan. I am bringing home my first baby panther chameleon tomorrow. I have the enclosure set up, there are just a few things I have questions on. If you guys could weigh in that would be awesome.

How hot should my basking area be for a 4 month old chameleon? I have heard varying ideas, 85-90, 90-95.

How far should the UVB fluorescent bulb be from the animal?

What is the best humidity level that I should shoot for?

I am confused by the cricket dusting. Should I dust with calcium w/D3 or calcium w/o D3 more frequently? This is a bit confusing, some people say one, others say another.

Welcome! You have come to the right place. My name is also Ryan.

Basking spot for a youngin shoukd be 80-85. Raised to 90-95 as he reaches adult hood.

Pics of your set up would be Awsome!
And calci withOUT D3 DAILY. CALCI WITH d3 2 times a month or so. And a vitamin supplement with vit A once a month or even once every two months

I am not sure about the other questions (I have a Jackson). But there are lots of people on here that will be able to help answer your questions!

Calcium = everyday
Calcium with d3 = 2x's per month
Vitamins = 2x's per month

i'm pretty sure jaksons are in need of less supplimenting and this schedule is a suppliment schedule is for a veiled or panther
