Hello it's big boy love. I just purchased chameleon from petsmart. He she seems to be in good health

How do I find out the sex of my veiled chameleon. His body is 4inches long and his tail is 4 or more inches long. I bought a real nice screen cage 16/16/30 inches. He's already eating medium size crickets with no problem, and large meal worms. My mayn concern is how much to read him. Yesterday I watched on slow motion eat 5 medium crickets, but today he ate 1. So should I feed him every other day. Please give me some advice. Thanks

you can tell by looking at the back feet. males have a little bump on the back called a "spur" and a females is smooth. if you could post a pic of your cham i could tell you the approximate age and therefore tell you how much to feed him. good luck!

If he/she is that small I would feed around 10 small crickets every day. Mine is around the same size and he eat up to 12+ each day. When they are young they are growing so they need all the food they can get. And dont forget about proper supplementation as well.
