Hi guys!

I just signed up here after getting bitten by the chameleon bag after a few years. I purchased 1.2 WC Jacksons for my son this week and am also buying 1.2 panthers for myself. I plan on getting a trio of veileds as well, but I need to build some cages first.

Anyway, looking forward to being here. I will post pics of these guys when they all start showing up.

I definitely wont be housing them together. I had a Sambava male a few years ago, and I am getting Ambilobe now.

One thing that I do need to research is what I can give the jacksons to get rid of any internal parasites. These will never come in contact with my panthers, but I still want them all nice and clean.

I think there is an over the counter dewormer somewhere online, but I don't think it works for all parasites. Your best bet would be to get fecal exams. If they have any parasites, your vet will administer the correct medication.

I am trying to find a local reptile vet, I do not know of any unfortunately. everyone here has dogs and cats

And Reptaid, which apparently helps your chams immune system and is anti coccidia. I haven't heard really anything about this though.

You gotta first get a fecal done and probably blood work.. After that, the vet will decide whats the best treatment

I did not know there was an over the counter panacure. I will call my friend and see if the vet she works for can do something for the jacksons.

I know the panthers are fine, they are coming from a breeder on this site

I am going to try a feed store tomorrow for the panacure, if they are do not carry it, I plan on ordering from LLL reptile. What dosage should I give them? LLL sayd consult a vet, or a book....

You should consult a vet. I think it depends on the weight and the amount/type of parasites the chameleon has.
