Hello everyone!! Some of yall may know me as cgslim or Dave from Georgia Bugs, but I'm finally back from the second path of the fork in the road. I've missed being a part of this community so much, you'd be surprised how often I think fondly on the Repticon shows, Live Webcam from the Georgia Bugs booth broadcast, and all the good friends I've made from this community. Since losing touch, I'm down to 1 chameleon, my male veiled Waldo, and 1 beardie I got from Georgia Bearded Dragons named Sydney. I've gotten into making "indoor rain forests" which are basically nice terrariums with intricate rivers and waterfalls, along with live growing plants. I've also delved into gardening more, so if anyone here is interested in cooking or medicinal herbal gardens that can be placed in your kitchen or window sill, give me a shout, I make every garden to order and there is a waiting period so I may prune, propagate, and strengthen your herbs so you have the least amount of difficulty possible maintaining it. I'm also interested in supplying mail order herbs to those who may be interested. Oh and I've got a Green Terror Cichlid and new Tiger Oscar. My house is so...illuminated during the day, I'm sure yall know what I mean! lol

Those of you who know Georgia Bugs and I, you may remember we took a sudden exit, as I was juggling 6 chameleons, 2 beardies, a few aquariums, college, GA Bugs, Family, Girlfriend, it was all just a lil overwhelming for me. I started falling behind on shipments as I was running the business generally completely by myself. The processing, hatching, constant cleaning, shipping, and worst of all the DOA reimbursements, which are so stressful when you're losing money because of weather spikes.

Well conditions have changed. I have found the love of my life, and can you believe it, she wants to help get Georgia Bugs back off the ground and maintained. My recently retired father has also stepped in to keep Georgia Bugs stable, reliable, and affordable.

Any of you who have grievances with GA Bugs, I would really like to hear from you as this new family-run business will strive to correct any shortcomings that were unfortunately inevitable with running a large operation alone.

In the same breath, I would also love to hear from those loyal customers who have well wishes, and advice. I would love to touch-base with every one of you once more.

As soon as we get everything in order and have silkworm and hornworm eggs hatching, we will be once again sponsoring ChameleonForums.com, giving back to the community responsible for my interest in exotic animals is very important to me.

As before, prices will be competitive, and your every purchase will be guaranteed to arrive live or we will send you out a replacement with a few extra for your trouble(with proper documentation of course). We want you to have as good of an experience with your mail order as if you were walking into the store down the street to make your purchase. A customer loyalty program is also in place.

But I just wanted to say hello to everyone again, I've missed every unique soul here, and can't wait to once again be broadcasting live from conventions here in Atlanta, GA. Keep on the lookout for us, and please drop me a line, I would love to hear from some familiar people!

Be well my friends, Blessed Love.
-Dave

Dave welcome back, my only complaint is I have missed you. My dealings with you were all good, fair, and happy. Glad to hear things are good again.

Laurie! You were one of my favorite clients, I'm glad you touched base with me :) Thank you for the kind words, you're really too kind. Towards the end of GA Bugs last run, I was so overwhelmed and distraught that I couldn't reply to all messages, DOA's were stacking up (an extremely frustrating aspect of the bug business, but one that every dealer faces), and I swear it about brought me to tears because I knew I couldn't make all my clients happy because I simply didn't have the manpower to complete the necessary duties in the amount of time necessary to make them happy.

It was very disheartening, I think you have a pretty good handle on my person and character, when I'm not able to put a smile on every person's face that comes to me with their hard earned dollars, it really puts a strain on a guy like me, and they don't disappear over time but rather stack up, and up, and up, until it got to the point I went terminal and just walked away from the business to ensure that the rest of my life didn't fall apart too.

This changes this time around. I've got a partner (the love of my life) who I think will be just the person I need to keep this operation going and to put smiles on faces all around the country for a long time to come.

Georgia Bugs will also be branching out this time around. We're set to include live plants and actual cooking/medicinal herbs that are safe and healthy for your animals that will go great in a Pygmy tank or that complex Free Range we all dream of. Locally, I've been selling customized indoor kitchen herb gardens, researching many different plants and noting the particular herbs that my male veiled Waldo seems to love to eat when he gets out of his cage (quite often I might add. What can I say, he's an adventurer).

I have high hopes for this round, and I hope I can depend on people like you laurie to have that faith in me that you once did. Thank you Laurie, you don't know how good you made me feel with that one line post right there. I build my confidence from good people like you, thank you Laurie.

Hi Dave,

We don't know each other but I love your moxy. Any one who is willing to pick up the pieces and try again is alright in my book ;) I look forward to seeing you succeed!

Wow, well thank you. I really appreciate the support, it's not going to be easy, but I believe we've got the dynamics figured out so it should work much easier.

Thank you Jessica, I hope we have the privilege of doing business together one day soon :)

Currently a small business owner myself. And trying to get my second business started. Hope to see your business prosper and I hope we can do business together in the future. Always looking for good healthy horns & silks for competetive prices. :D

:DI give you props for being so open and honest! I wish the best for your return to the bug business and look forward to doing business with you in the future! :) I am new to all this myself and I am still looking for the "right" place to get my bugs from, and after what I just read, I will definately give you a shot ;) Welcome back!!

Thank you both so much for the support. I've always been amazed with how welcoming this community can be. Thank you. Blessed love.

Hornworms will be in this week.

$10/cup of 10 Med-Large w/ food to grow to full size.
$10/cup of 20 Smalls w/ food to grow to 2".
Edit: $10/cup of Black Soldier Fly Larvae
Shipping charge will be quoted directly from USPS or Fedex. Forecast must be below 85 degrees to ship with a live guarantee, you can either have me ship w/o the guarantee or we'll just keep an eye on the weather for you.

Fortunately, my day job allows me to work fulltime with Georgia Bugs Monday through Wednesday, which are our shipping days. This is going to work out terrific for both you and I.

Just PM me with orders for now. I'm afraid the online store at GeorgiaBugs.com is down for now as a profiteering domain name extortion company snatched it when my webhost allowed it to expire, even though we still have hosting for it (LMAO). I'm very excited to start meeting interesting good people again, and hopefully I can call some of you clients. :)

Welcome back Dave! Ozzie and I look forward to doing business with you again :) I pmed you my order and you will be hearing a lot from us.

I always love hearing from fellow Veiled parents :)

Ozzie helped me remember that I also have large Black Soldier Fly larvae available right now. It's locally and organically grown, I've fed many of the flies to my Veiled and he loves them to death (and he's still living lol). Flies live for about 3-4 days, Larvae for a couple weeks depending on the age, which I have no idea how old they are. These are also commonly known as "Phoenix Worms", but I'll tell you what I've never seen Phoenix Worms this big before, like an 1" long. I'm going to check tomarrow what looks fair as far as a cup goes, but $10/cup should cover it.

I don't know whether these will be year round or not, I'm still practicing breeding these lil guys.

I was going to say about 100, but that's really just an estimate, I plan on taking a 16 oz cup, scooping up some till it's 1/2 way full, pour them out and count them, then filling the other half with bran I think. Not sure on the bran, still researching the correct way to ship these nasty lil bugs.

Here's some Black Fly Larvae I harvested this morning. I'm not sure if I'm going to offer them quite yet or not, as I had to hand-pick these out of crap, and I hate selling "wild" bugs, safe or not, because who knows what they've eaten.

But I promise to begin making "organic" FAT black fly larvae easily hatched into flies, using all safe veggies and fruits :) Does that sound better than some over-priced "Phoenix Worms" from another company?

Check out the size of these suckers. And as I said, I've tested on my cham (after thorough research) and he's still kickin, so they are safe, and if there are a few of you who would like a cup, I'll do the nasty job of digging just to get some smiles on a few client faces :) Nothing makes me happier. Lemme know about the wild ones, otherwise "Organic Larvae" on the way ;-)
