Heeeeeelp!!!

By sleep hrs do you mean lights out. If so I would say no as he would loose out on uv. Also during the day he needs to be a certain temp to digest anything. As he is sick just now he will probably sleep regardless. You are doing fine.:)

That is just the pits. But we are here for you!! Since the vet had very few ideas we will go with what she gave you and expect him to get better. Are you able to post pictures? That way we can watch him getting better as you do. He will get better.

Okay I will keep the same hours of the lights :)

I will try to make atleast one update daily how he's doing :) Thanks again for the support, I've been down in the dumps for a few days and this have really given me a new boost of hope that he can make it to the better :)

Wow, what have I been smoking? Posted on the wrong thread. Deleted it! But glad to hear your chameleon seems to be doing better. :D

About to give him his first calcium drops today, do you got any advice of how to do it the easiest way? :) Am I able to drop it onto a cricket or what do you say?

I haven't done it but I've heard some here inject it into a cricket. Is he eating?

Oh yeah, he's eating alright ;-) bottom less whole :)

This is the best news, it's usually by far the best indicator of how sick he is :). If you can inject it with a needle into the abdomen of an insect that should work fine. If you have to gently open his mouth to drop it in direct then only do one drop at a time, chams windpipes end nearer the middle of the mouth than the back, it is easy to make them choke. Good luck for a recovery from this :)

I meant hole lol, not whole.* Dunno what I was thinking.
Okay that's great :) I will try to inject it, got some need needles at home. (No I'm not a drug addict, got diabetes so I got some small needles that I haven't used in 10 years lol. Lucky I saved them, now the might come to use ;) since the crickets are small it will be tricky but I guess it's worth a try :)

What you described, and keep in mind I'm only going off what you typed while while understandably upset, describes something I saw a very very long time ago. That would be when a cham eats something they shouldn't.

Did he eat anything out of the norm 24 hrs prior to this? Could he eat something without you knowing it?

From the pic you posted I would have said not likely MBD. Also when they have that they don't try and turn themselves into a knot suddenly.

If it was something he ate and he's going to survive it you should see him return to normal eating/feeding habits in a few days.

Hi, and thank you for taking time :) He's eating just like normal atm. From what I know he haven't eaten anything he should't. But when you got a screen cage it aint unlikely that he could have eaten a spider or some flie I guess? But I haven't given him anything unusual to eat anyway.

Just wanted to let you know that I am following this thread and my thoughts are with you and your cham. It sounds to me like it could be a one time event, just keep your eye on him

He obviously has the best medicine a cham could have, a dedicated owner!

I wouldn't stress him any more than needed but yeah just sit back if he is eating and drinking and keep an eye on him. All he had to do was eat something with some toxicity (your guess is as good as mine but I can think of a lot of things) and that will get a cham looking like it is in knots and spasms.

Yeah. I'm trying to interact with him as little as possible, just when i'm feeding him and getting him some water. It acctuly makes me relaxed so see him relaxed, basking and just chillin.

Sorry I haven't been updating. But I'm glad to tell you that he seems better. He dosen't grab himself anymore, he is a strong climber again. He's tail is abit off time to time, hopfully that will bounce back too. He had only eaten 3 crickets yesterday when I came home from work, but when I putted the feeding cup into his face he ate lol. He drinks, he seems calmer and not as stressed out as he was a week ago. I will make another update if he has eaten or not when I get back home today. Any tips or heads up are more than welcome :)

Glad to hear your little guy is doing allot better. I've been following this thread :)

And i agree, pics would be great :D

When I got home today I stormed into the house and went for the feeding cup in the cage.... all 15 crickets were gone!! :D Was abit worried that he was getting worse since he didn't eat that much yesterday.
