Heating Misting Water

I was wondering if it is necessary to heat the water in the misting reservoir? If so is a fish tank heater safe to use in a 5 gallon plastic bucket and what temp?

i always mist my cage with warm water. I do it by hand though and I dont know the temp of the water but my cham loves his showers! I do not think that the fish heater would be to hot.

I too use warm water in my hand mister. Just think about it, would you want to be sprayed with cold water?

Bacteria will grow if you leave a bucket of warm standing water sitting around. You need to heat the water with a heater, right before misting. Beeze had one he built out of a coffee maker. I'll see if I can find it for you.

I used one inline heaters and its not working as good as I would like. I like the coffee pot idea. It seems to be cheaper, and more efficient.

My panther actually moves to the nozzle and showers himself. Should I not mess up his routine or definitly warm the water up. I like Beeze water heater but don't know if I can do that.

I used a fish tank heater one of those cheap ones for 5$ that can heat 5 gal so yea it worked for my cham he seemed to like it

I was actually just thinking about this, Trogdor hates the cold habba mister so i've been hand misting with warm water. The coffee maker idea ROCKS SOCKS!!
