heating/lighting

Chameleon crazy

Sorry for all the questions, I want to do the best I can for my chameleon.

During the day I have Exo-Terra SunGlo Spot watt. 75. And during the night I have Exo-Terra NightGlo watt. 75. To make sure there is a 10-15 deg. temp. drop at night I raise the NightGlo lamp to a little higher position than I have the SunGlo Spot. But should I exchange the NightGlo 75 watt. for a 60 watt. instead of changing the lamps position?

Just get rid of the night glow light altogether.
No heat source is recommended at night unless it gets down below 60 degrees f.

You should not need any type of night lighting/heat on a chameleon unless the temps are dropping into the 50's.

If I do wait until winter to use the NightGlo, should I still exchange it for a 60 watt.? Or keep the 75???

Thank you all for your kind help!!!:):):)

If you are going to use the night light, I don't think its a question of using 60watt or 75watt but the combo rather... the temps may not be the same all the time if you house changes like you say, you may end up needing both at one time or another... get a digital temp gauge with high low readings on it put it in the enclosure and monitor the readings before you need it....

If your house only goes below 60 "rarely" even in the winter....I don't think you need a night time light at all.
