Hi all as it's starting to get colder uk ??. Was wondering where is the best place to put thermostat probe if a ceramic is needed was just over 15degres Celsius this morning. But I've never had a mesh enclosure and can't put it directly on basking spot incase my girl lays on top of it?

Is your enclosure outside?

No it was around 22 it has dropped to around 18. I have never had a repti breeze and 15 Celsius at the the moment at night is going to drastically drop over the next couple of months

How drastically? This is inside your house, right?

Yeah its a reasonably sized house and an old farm house. So night temps will drop below 10
Give him three hours with a basking bulb at 30 degrees in the morning, and don’t sweat the night temps. I drop my whole greenhouse to 8 degrees at night, and that includes my panthers and veileds.

To be honest, my veileds see temps approaching frost every spring and fall, before I bring them into the greenhouse, so I really wouldn’t worry about the cold nights. As long as your Cham has the opportunity to warm up during the day, the cool nights are actually really good for him/her...or so I’ve heard ?

Yeah I know Ia drop is beneficial she's my first cham after other reptiles and just want everything to be right i overthink and worry to much
