Heat bulbs

I have a heat bulb thy came with my tank. It looks like its a repti daylight tight beam. I am not sure of the watt. It seems to give a good basking spot but doesn't warm up the rest of the tank enough on cooler days.

I was wondering what bulbs people think work best for heat or what they recommend. Why brands and watts do you use?

The basking bulb is really only supposed to heat the basking area, not really the whole enclosure/room.

I use a standard household tugsten incandesent bulb, between 25 and 100 watts (depending on time of year and gender of chameleon)

About what are your basking spot temps with just normal household lights?
