Hi,

I have a vet's which is quite local which have experience in dealing with Exotics Pet's they do list Chameleon and Beardies. Now I was just wondering, would it be worth just taking my guys in for an all round check? I'm not bothered about how much it costs, just think it would be worth doing? But some people tell me taking exotics to a vet can be dangerious? But they do specialse in reptiles so maybe this is a good idea...I'm not sure? What do you think?

Yes!! Your lucky to have a vet close by!!! Do it! And why would making sure your exotics are healthy be dangerous?

I agree that it would be great for you to take them for a well chameleon check up. I plan to take my two new guys wehn they get a little bit older!

Well some people have told me then vet's if they don't know all about them can do more damage than good, but I've checked them out and called them. They have a vet who specialises in reptiles. Even have chameleon stuff on their site. I was quite impress with this part about the vet.

'He is especially interested in improving owner awareness relating to husbandry and care of exotic species.'

Kind of shows you they care a little more.

that actually seemslike a very legite vet! I would def go and check it out for sure. Then if you ever do have some kind of emergency the vet will be familiar with you cham and you will know it is the right place to take him.

Cool!! Well I rang them to get the cost (cost isn't an option when it comes to my little babies lol, but it's best to check) and it's pretty resonable, so now it's just a case of booking it =D

Thanks for the advice guys =D
