Pity they dont have anything about eye issues. Seems to be an area sorely lacking in solid information.

You're absolutely right jojackson...there is a lack of information...at least about what the causes are and more importantly the solutions.

Im beginning to think that due a chameleons only manner of dislodging debris, the familiar eye roll/swell thing, that too dry an environment may play a large part in many eye issues commonly experienced, especially in screened cages where large regular fluctuations in humidity are common.
I have noticed that a number of owners experiencing eye issues have screen cages, often live in arid areas, and just as often have issues with sloughing too.
