he wont stop eating dirt!?!?

I have a 9 month old male veiled who continues to go down and eat the dirt out of his plants I know that this isn't good and he can I end up getting impacted so I'm getting worried about it. I was careful in selecting the dirt that is in the plants in his enclosure so I know that there's no fertilizers in it but I'm not sure how safe this is for him. I have covered the dirt with rocks but he still finds ways in between the rocks and even pushes rocks to the side to get to the dirt. do I need to maybe use bigger rocks? is there may be something lacking in his diet? Or should i take a stool sample to the vet and have a fecal test ran for parasites? he eats crickets and roaches waxworms superworms meal worms and Phoenix worms. all my bugs get fresh fruits and veggies every day and they're also dusted in calcium without d3 every feeding and with D3 and also and a multivitamin 2 times a month. He is also having a little bit of difficulty with shedding this time so that's why I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing wrong as far as supplements or gut loading. besides those two things he's incredibly active, he's pooping normal seems to be very healthy. and I wanna keep it that way. Plz help!!

As suggested, larger rocks that are too heavy to move like river rocks or cover the dirty with screen

I don't think you're doing anything wrong with your supplementing or anything. Just cover the dirt with river rocks that are large enough so he can't swallow them (or pick them up for that matter) or cover it with mesh.
