He Pooped in the Feeder Cup

as the title says, he decided that instead of eating the crickets, he should show them who's boss... i'm not at home but my sister texted me when she noticed this. i told her to cover it up with some cardboad until i get home.

i take it he shouldn't be eating any crickets that had a chance to come into contact with poop. i decided to just go with a red beer cup on the bottom of the cage. the milk jug with the side cut out just seems like they will all escape within a matter of minutes to me. so i guess my question is, how do you guys keep those things from hopping out without the cham being able to poop in the cup?

just as a side note, my guy hand fed from the very first cricket i offered him but he wasn't hungry this morning before i left for school (9 30 - 5 30). i just wanted to give him a chance to eat without throwing them all in the cage (i found several hiding in peculiarity places this morning)

Yea i woukdnt let him eat poopy crickets.. wouldn't hurt him but not a risk worth taking.
I use the cut out milk jug. and made the opening about 4 inches from bottom and put mesh on the back. They climb up it but only jump out sometimes which isnt a big deal. They only jump when there scared and a few free.range crickets for him to hunt down is a good think.

so it looks like he ate nothing today. i saw him drink a it this morning. also, i believe he took 2 if not 3 poops today. is that normal?
he's a 5 month old panther

That sound like alot of pooping for one day to me, I do also have some that like to poop in thier feeder cups. I just whipe out the cup and start again.

i thought it was as well. when i picked him up wednesday, i know for a fact he was not fed. i didn't get him home until after 6 pm so i only managed to feed him 2 or 3 crickets before he became uninterested then it was lights out shortly after. the next day, he ate like a beast (approx 18 crickets give or take 2). i guess that could explain his loss of appetite today and him being a pooping machine :p

he seems completely uninterested in eating again today. he had one cricket and that was that. what should i do?
