He has arrived

I'll get some more pics of him today when I get home for work. Hopefully, they won't just be of his butt :D

This guy sure does love to eat wood, though! I might have to take some of the tastier branches out of his enclosure. There's one in particular that he can't seem to resist. My husband has already named him 'Eaty'.
 
*votes* Panaque for a name.

Panaque is a wood eating species of pleco. The name means "canoe eater" in it's native tongue.
 
Update time !!!:D

He's doing really well, I think. No name yet. He's extremely active and almost never retreats into the plants. Instead, he spends all of his time zooming around the branches at the top. Some random photos of the outside enclosure w/ angry cham:

I'm still stressed out about making sure he's happy. The one main concern I have is if he's getting enough basking time in the outside cage: it stays way too shady and he basks pretty much any chance he can. The temp is about 80F or so in the shade. Maybe that's fine, but I'd like him to have the opportunity to bask whenever he likes.
