My panther baby is only about 4 month old.. A few days ago, I posted a thread about handling/taming my chameleon. Today, I finally gathered my courage and was able to get him out his cage easily and quickly.
He walked around my hands and decided to go to my back. Of course I could not see him when he was hanging on my back. And all of a sudden, he came to my side, and literally jumped on the floor as if he was diving in water. I was sitting on the bed and he jumped right on the floor (I was sitting on the bed because I didn't want him to get injured even if he falls). It must have been about 2-3 feet high. It's a wooden floor and thankfully, there was a blanket laying around and he jumped on that. I literally freaked out and picked him up right away. I swear he looked like he was shocked as much as I was, about what just happened - he froze for a moment until I picked him up.
The second fall was shortly after that - he jumped again. This time, it was only about 1 foot high. When this all happened, it was after he ate 3 1/2'' crickets an hour earlier.. He seems to be fine now but I am so worried. Does this happen commonly? or should I make an appt with a vet?
