So handsome! Is it ok if they catch random bugs that make their way in there???

The spider came from buying outdoor plants in the nursery. Who know if came hitchhiking from the Dracaena plant I bought too. I was wondering why spider webs were forming inside of his enclosure.

I've seen spiders on the outside before, and always wonder if they will make their way in!!!

I did a full clean up of his enclosure. Boy, am I beyond tired with extreme headache.

I notice spider webs were formed inside the cage. And upon further inspection, I found a nest outside of the cage against my wall of my room.

Before I cleaned and refurbished the cage. I went to the pet store and bought some crickets and cat food. Made my errands at Lowe’s for a new plant. I found umbrella tree in the indoor nursery.

Head my way back to home against traffic rush hour. I put his cricket into the container for them to eat some carrot peel and leafy salad mix. While I plan to do a full clean out his cage.
I got into business and tried to get Namul out of the cage. I put a lot of patience to grab him. He would bite the branches I cut from my tree. So I put on some gloves and attempt to grab him. I felt bad. I put him away in a container and left him in the dark room to let him settle.

I eradicated the nest with the mother spider by spraying them with pet friendly bug spray and got the napkin to smash them all. I grabbed many of the plants inside out. I decided I will retire my ficus and bowler vine. They look too naked to stay. I stumbled a black widow inside when I wanted to remove one of the dead potted pothos vine. I just cleaned and sprayed the tray deeply with water and dried. I had to retake the tray out to wash out the bug spray smell with long deep hose down. Outside.

I put the new umbrella tree with my Dracaena. It looking bare and exposed. I will have to buy some new pothos to refill the empty space during payday. I waited for the bug spray smell to subside away where I can’t smell it. That when I put Namul back into his cage.

Right now, I don’t think he enjoy being too exposed. He ate some crickets right away from putting him back into his enclosure.

He's got the same look I get when I see a spider, especially a widow... Yikes!
I did too. Black widow gives me the heebie jeebies. I’m certain all the spiders came from the Bower vine. Never had this situation before. Actually my tray was full of loose soil and found many isopods, earwigs, worms, micro millipedes. Now I understand why Namul always came to ground! 🧐

Namul going to this shedding phase. I feel bad for him. His face is peeling of shedding away old skin.

I bought him a new classic Golden Pothos of removing the dead Cebu Pothos. I also bought Cissus sp. plant to refill in the other side. I’m looking to buy another Pothos to fill the lower ground.

I saw Lowe’s has Schefflera actinophylla. And some big Money Tree. But I couldn’t stomach to spend over 40 dollars for one. I can’t keep Money Tree long term. My Schefflera actinophylla in the living room has proved to be easier houseplant. So I opted for a smaller one for Namul. His refurbished cage is complete with new big plants. I’m satisfied. I just have to let them grow more to fill it the empty spaces.

Schefflera and Money trees seem to take forever to grow at my place. I have 2 shefflera in mine and one money tree.. I got a 12" high one in the grocery store a couple months ago for $14. But I'm like you.. it's hard shelling out so much for a plant and then maybe it doesn't make it! Hey.. you know you can propagate schefflera. If it's big enough and has several branches, you can cut off the top of one and root it in water. 😁 Same with pothos too of course!

Poor Namul.. I always feel bad when they are shedding. But they look so nice afterwards! 🤩

I never knew you could propagate them like that!
