hawk moths laying tons of eggs!!!

Has anyone had horn worms lay more then 1 batch of eggs the reason I ask is that I have 6 moths that have emerged in the same time period they have been alive and breeding for about a week but I have yeilded over 1200 eggs from only six moths with an average around 200 per night. Anyone else have this happen? I have read that they lay one bathc each and then just feed till they die. But going by the numers even if there are 5 female of 6 moths that would be over 240 eggs each.

I have had moths lay more than once. That sure is an awesome yield on only 6 moths.

and thanks for the answer to my question pigglett the just dont stop lol i have been picking eggs every morningfor the past week i have well over 1500 eggs now and half of which have already hatched and growing like mad.

Yeah when you get them going it can easily get overwhelming. Haha. I have had a time where I got so tired of picking eggs that I just threw the plant away and got rid of the moths.
