I need to move my girls home to a different room, but I dont want to scare her. I know that i need to take her out but she doesnt want to be picked up. Is there a easy way to get her moved without really scaring here?

We have them in our room and my cat things she needs to guard them at night and it's starting to scare them. Have our third bedroom empty and wanted to move them there. Thanks :)

If you can pick the whole house up, and carry it safely to the new location, I would do that.

If not...

To pick up a chameleon:
Moving SLOWLY, with your palm flattened out and facing up, carefully move your fingers under the chameleon.
As it tries to make its get away, put a finger in its hand, untill you have all its hands, then carefully remove, minding the tail:p
Thats if she "makes a get away" and if she doesnt HAUL a$$ away from you.

You could also take the stick/plant/whatever shes on, out of the cage with her on it, or try coaxing her onto a stick.

Also, if the enclosure isn't heavy, just carefully move her when she's in the enclosure. She will be alright.

I remove my Chams from their cages when cleaning. If they dont come out by themselves I start to give them a nice chin rub (always approach slowly) - I start with this. Slowly moving my hand underneath their body. Usually they will start to move their hands on to you. Or try to mount your hand (in a non-sexual way!).

Once this happens you can generally pull them out slowly. Their tail may wrap round a branch though - but they usually let go after a minute or so.

i havent handled here since I got. Not even to put here in her home. she was on a paper towel in a box from the pet store. She didnt want to climb on my finger so I just left the paper towel up next to a vine and she climbed on that. No my male was a different story. He was mailed to us so when he came out of his little container my friend tried getting him to climb on her finger and he didnt like that. He climbed up on my finger and like ran up my arm to get away from her. He has his favorite branch and thats pretty much where he likes to stay.

I really didnt think chameleons were fast til we got him. He zooms though the branches and vines like theres no tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the advice :)

My first was a jackson, who arent very active.
When I got my baby panther, it freaked me out how fast he could move.
I saw him run backwards faster than I thought they could ever move forwards!:p
Im glad they slow down with age;)
