hates misting!

My chameleon Kaiju is scared of misting I guess. She gets a stressed color on and puffs up and hides. I mist for 5 mins 3 to 4 times a day and shower her once a week on sunday. Shold I not mist, or not as much, or keep on doing it. Its just weird she dosent like misting because she loves showers and she likes to sit under her dripper!

Are you misting with a hand sprayer? Many chams don't like to be sprayed directly. Try using very warm water and start by misting the plants from the top of the cage, not the cham directly. Give her some "warning" that rain is coming by starting off slowly and lightly but concentrate on the plants, not her.

If you are using an auto mister, its a bit harder because there isn't a way to let her know when to expect it.

Use hot (not boiling) water and it will come out as luke warm mist. Of course the best way to check is to spray your hand, ensuring that it is not too hot. My cham doesn't like getting sprayed directly, but will sometimes move into the direct spray zone for a shower. It's the best way as he is doing it by choice and prevents unnecessary stress.
