Why do my baby veileds keep there eyes closed in their container. They were born tow days ago andone day ago. But when i put them in my hands and go to the sunlight they open their eyes and move around. I dont know if they are eating since they always have their eyes closed. Is it normal for them to be a few days with there eyes closed. The only open them when in the bright sunlight. I just want to understand if this is normal or what should i do. The sunlight here in Puerto Rico is really hot and strong to keep them in the sunlight. Please give me any advice.

What type of lighting are you providing them with when they are not in the natural sunlight?

I have them in the terrace where the sunlight hits them but not directly , i wanted to add some type of light for them so that if will simulate the intensity of the sun , since that is waht makes them open there eyes. I dont have them in direct sun since i am not in my house all the time and the heat and sun might kill them.
