hatchling pics

4/4/2023 new babies-- (3 eggs left)
pic 1 peaking out
pic 3 first time opening eye (y)
pic 4 is 2nd baby needing more time to absorb. :D
In the egg the spine is visible. I'm liking my new camera.
Trans baby eyes do have the gold ring but Hercules did not (Herc in last photo). Hercules is growing fast at eating great, but still has vision issues. (y)

Hercules eyes are so different without that gold ring…so interesting.

How many are trans and how many hatched with the normal veiled look?

1st pic is of baby who has not opened eyes-- I take pictures so I can follow progress. At day 4 will start to work on eyes and feeding (it happens). (y)
last pic is baby drinking off towel-- I find keeping humidity high and towel damp keeps them hydrated and more active.
FYI
Hercules always drinks off the bottom. I have to insert paper towel and keep it wet. I think because of the first month of not seeing she has figured a way out. I also don't know if she recognizes water/drops on plants. I don't know why, I just keep learning from their needs and individual behaviors.
NOTE: Neither parent had signs of translucent, not even low. I will share parent pics next week.(y)
6 trans were born but I gave half of the clutch to a new person trying their hand at chameleons. Unfortunate his eggs did not make it. Sad but a learning experience for both.
Enjoy!

Last one!
Hope the closeup shots weren't to much. When leaning a new tool, I can go overboard. (y)
Pic 4: Little belly button before total absorption.
Pic 5: Nails to die for.:D

FYI: In some of the pictures you might notice the white lid. Reason: A few clutches ago I had baby get some substrate stuck on mouth (not a good outcome) so after the eggs open I move to lid. 100% no issues. (y)

That one behbeh looks like a little alien. 😂 A cute little alien behbeh though. 🤗 🥰
When you say, “last one”, I do hope you mean last egg to hatch and not the last of the pics you’ll be sharing. Please…let me live vicariously through you and watch your babies grow. 😁💗

The babies are doing better than expected for being so young.
Few pics of my morning tasks with some of the critters.
This is going to be a busy year. (y)

Update! 5/1/2023 pics
Pic of closed eye: If you zoom in you can see the eye under the skin.. Ewwwwwwwww He closed during misting and is 100% fine. First time seeing this.
Found some mantis ooths on a tree that was cut down, a few weeks ago-- they hatched and I let them go yesterday. So I went looking today and only found 1 in the Ficus tree. (y)
Starting new hobby with making mini moss terrariums (this is my first).

I take pics everyday-- There are, so many posting and enjoy their threads. So- I like to lay back a little. (y)
Just find the eye and eye lid displacement so cool. This was from a month ago.
Eye cropped better and Rascal pics. He sleeps with tail out then comes out slowly. What a messy eater he is.
