You can't go wrong with it. It's tried, tested and true. It's a small price to pay for your piece of mind. That's just my personal opinion. Some people will still tell you to use vermiculite or peralite.

I think that is definitely what I will use. I know the humidity will be right and I won't have to stress about how much water and all that stuff, I am a first time hatcher for cryin' out loud...LOL. I don't know if my boyfriends mom will let us keep the house warm enough, how would you suggest I keep the container warm. I was thinking maybe an under tank heating pad, but that sounds kind of risky...

Definately don't do that. What I'd recommend IF you can't have a stable room temp of about 72 degrees is a small incubator. Buy a Hova Bator. You can get the cheap one for $39.95 at www.lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/reptile-incubators/

That's a good idea, although I think the house is close to 72ish... I thought it should be warmer than that, I guess it will just mean a longer incubation, right? I am glad I asked, I mean it sounded stupid to ask but it's better to ask and know then not know and do the wrong thing.
I am telling you I am so glad I found this forum. I found out I got the wrong lights...Reptisun Compact 5.0, the wrong plant, I bought a freaking rubber plant and didn't even know that's what it was until I saw that palnt list. I try so hard and I feel like I really should consult the forum before I do anything. LOL. I guess I have the right idea though

If it can remain about 72ish you'll have no problems. Just keep them in a dresser drawer that will remain dark. If it gets a little warmer or cooler here and there, I don't believe it will affect too much. Too warm however, will probably almost double the incubation time if they hatch. If it's too warm, it'll take forever to break diapause.

I'll tell you the truth, I am praying that there are no complications with her laying. I am a what if person all the way and I think I would fall to pieces if anything happened to her. Should I not worry so much?
Dresser drawer sounds do-able. Should there be no holes in the container or 1 pencil tip sized hole? I have also read that peole open once a week or was it once a month for air exchange and to check for bad eggs. Which one was it?

Some people poke an air hole in the lid and some don't. Myself, I poke one. If you do, just poke a tiny pinhole in it so it doesn't affect the humidity and moisture level throughout the incubation period. I recommend just leaving the lid on. Buy a nice clear container where the eggs are clearly visible through it.

If you want to, only open it once a month, then get that lid back on lol. You don't want to lose the moisture and humidity levels.

How long ago did copulation take place and when did she turn her gravid color? Usually within 30 days, they will lay the eggs. A few days before, she will be looking for a place to lay so be sure to have a nice lay container set up for her in the cage. When she starts digging, leave her be and stay out of sight. If she sees you she may possibly abandon the hole and be to exhausted to start digging another one and become egg bound.
Once you see her starting to pace the bottom or in the dirt, leave her alone. She will do her thing

It was on 11/26 she turned her color maybe 3 days later. We put her pot in there already with soil but everyone recommends palysand instead... She is in a room with other animals. I am thinking about putting a towel with a little hole cut init so i can check on her and feed the other animlas without disturbing her. Sorry it took so long to reply I just got off work at 12 and had to drive home. It's 12:45 where i am
