my chameleon has had eggs in her since around may. she hasnt laid yet. she dug a test hole about a week and a half ago but hasnt laid yet. she is covered up and in a private area. the clutch she laid just a month before this clutch she dug the hole and then laid the next day. how long is too long? any suggestions?

Are you certain she has eggs? You could take her to the vet for an X-ray just to make sure she's ok and not egg bound.

So she laid a clutch in what April?

and now you expect to lay another clutch?

if thats right, it can take sevearl months from when they lay their first clutch, for them to lay the second.

Was she bred?

can we have dates and more info please?

sorry for the delayed response!! i am absolutely positive she has more eggs, shes huge and you can kinda see them poking out a bit. she laid early april and got skinny and then my may she started getting plump again. i took her to the vet last time in first week of march but havent taken her this time.

Just because she got plump, doesnt actually mean she had eggs again.

it can take 3-5 weeks for them to lay.

what is her basking temp?

how much/ how often do you feed?

what lay bin does she have access to?

ill post a pic of her. and her basking temp is about 84 degrees. and i feed about once every 4 days or so. 4-5 gutloaded crickets or the equivalent in other gutloaded insects. i also use repashys bug burger to gut load and repashys calcium plus icb to dust. and i use a d3 calcium dust once or twice a month

Maybe it's just the picture but that looks like something besides eggs.....maybe a tumor or something.

that definitely doesnt look likke eggs to me.

Even when my female had eggs, 38 of them... she NEVER looked like that.

I think you need to go to a vet and get an x ray done.

I agree with jann that that looks like an internal tumor.
