has anyone?

Calcium Citrate is what's in Tums and I believe several people, including Kinyongia, have used it for their chameleons.

In humans it's considered by many to be a better alternative because it does not require the presence of gastric acid to be absorbed (so, you don't have to take the calcium with food). It's probably similar in humans.

okay, thanks, at least someone has stated its somewhat safe >.> so far nobody can give me any info on this! im surprised. i know many people here have treated their chameleons mbd with over the counter stuff.

i did the math and found that .17 mg for a 30 g animal is equal to the same dose a 70 kg person would take. think this would be okay to give? so far i cant find any ratio for dosage for calcium citrate, only for the carbonate...

I'm trying to find some of the threads where it's been discussed. On dosage, I'm not qualified to give advice. I think you might want to PM one of the Vets who post here for that.
