has anyone ever just fed their chams worms?

No, it's not really recommended. Which worms are you feeding and how long have you been feeding them exclusively?

Worms tend to be soft and fatty, so the chameleon is not getting the roughage they need in their diet, in addition to other nutrients. Superworms have more chitin but they are still not very nutritious.

It's better if a single feeder is not more than 20-30% of the overall diet, as they don't don't provide all the nutrition a chameleon needs by itself. Right now it may be working but you may not see the health problems for a good while and until it's too late to correct, such as a fatty liver.

thanks for the quick response. my cousin just got a veiled and he had a bad experience with crickets so im doin some research for him. would roaches and worms be ok?

yes roaches and worms would be ok. Silkworms are lowfat and a good worm to incorporate into the diet.

Using roaches instead of crickets would be alright. Of course, the more variety you can offer, the better it is for the animal. Try to include at least 5 different feeders, making sure that no one feeder makes up more than 20-30% of the diet if possible. A mix of these feeders would be great for the animal: roaches, superworms (be careful as they are a little fatty and addicting,) silkworms, hornworms, butterworms, phoenix worms, mantids, crickets, stick insects, isopods, snails, slugs, safe butterflies/moths, grasshoppers, etc. Make sure anything from outside is pesticide free and non-toxic.

EDIT: If they used roaches, supers, and a couple of other soft worms, it would be fine. Just check out the poops. If the chameleon is healthy and free of parasites, and the poops seem to be watery, that would indicate that more "hard shelled" bugs need to be added for roughage.
