Happy First Official Year Nachito!

Today I want to announce and celebrate the first official year that Nachito has been with me! Last March 3rd she came
from a neglected situation, and desperately needed help! I was lucky enough to convince her former owner to let me keep her!

Happy First Official Year in you forever home Nachito!

Let look over some before and after photos

It’s been an amazing journey so far! And I know there’s going to be so much in store for the both of us!
Trough dying plants, abscess scares and husbandry changes, I think me and a Nachito is doing well!

Thank you everyone!!! Especially @MissSkittles @Beman @kinyonga
for guiding me through out saving this beautiful Veilded girl!

Now instead of being scared and giving up hope, Nachito hisses and pours out loads of sass at me whenever I fixing something in her cage! The majority of the calcium despots in her sides are gone and she eats and drink well along with no more signs of progressing MBD!

Happy First Year Nachito!

Wow! I had forgotten just how bad Nachito looked when you first got her. I don’t think she would have lasted much longer without you. 😢
You have put so much hard work, love, care and yourself in bringing this beauty to her best health and happiness. Her sass is her way of telling you she appreciates all you’ve done for her. 🥰
You both are awesome and I wish for you many more happy and healthy years together. 💗🥳

Thanks for all the Happy First Year wishes! I’ve been looking back though photos of my girl before I officially got her and am startled in how bad she had gotten when I rescued her, especially one of her back legs. So glad I get to take care of her for the rest of her life even if she has a few lasting effect like the wonkey back leg.

Here’s some photos examples of first meeting, rescue day and today.

Let’s all continue work hard and give the best advice and support we can to new chameleon owners so less cuties have to go through the things my girl did! XD

Wow one year already and what a progress, you did such a wonderful job. And you’re where eager to learn and look what beautiful Nachito it brought you. Really happy for the both you and like @MissSkittles said, without you it was a matter of (short) time before she would have passed. You have become an example to the forums, that dedication and eagerness pays off.

I think female veiled chams are so underrated and under appreciated. They are absolute gems for personality and looks. The egg laying can be nerve racking but the attitude, the color patterns, their relentless hunger for everything…all of it. Sometimes they’re coy, sometimes they’re bulldogs, sometimes they are Houdini and sometimes they show those sweet little receptive blue and yellow hues. And a XL enclosure looks like a palace for their size. Congratulations on your little princess!
