Hanging lamp fixture?

I want to setup a hanging lamp fixture (already have 18" bulbs and fixtures...) for UVB in my closet. I have a single rod going across lengthwise where clothes hangers used to hang.

What is the most practical setup? Just a normal T5 fluorescent ballast? Are there any brands that are lighter weight that would work in this case? I was going to use string or fishing line, something that won't enflame easily if the fixture gets too hot. Remember it's a closet so I have nothing to mount it atop, which is why I want to go the suspended-from-the-top route.

Any ideas appreciated.

I'd probably use fixture chain, and hooks put into the ceiling joists. Or use two shelf brackets attached to wall studs, and just put the fixture on the brackets. I'd also make sure the fixture couldn't slide off the brackets by attaching it at 2 or 4 points with velcro.
