Handling and trust?

Hi all i have a 3 month old veiled and i was wondering what the best way to get her comfortable with me is. I’ve read that just putting your hand in to make sure she doesn’t see me as a threat and associating me with food helps but i really want to make sure she’s comfortable with me . Is it better to not handle them while they’re young or is it better to handle them so they get used to you? Sometimes she’ll crawl right on me and sometimes when i put my hand out she hisses and i just leave her alone. Any suggestions and tips would be amazing thank you so much!
